Groom to Be
Growing up on his family's “farm” in Frederick County, Maryland, Dylan would often wake up early on the weekends to do yard work before enjoying his favorite pastimes: dirt biking, camping, kayaking on the river, and working out with his good buddy Brian. Luckily for him, his farm-taught work ethic spilled over into an enthusiasm for learning at school and sports, which landed him the opportunity to attend the University of Maryland. At UMD, he grew out of his “small pond,” made many close and lifelong friendships, and embarked on his path to New York City, where he discovered his newfound passions for house music, Microsoft Excel, and, last but certainly not least, GianPaula.

Bride to Be
As a child, GianPaula eagerly left her freezing hometown on Cape Cod each year to visit her extended family on the island where she was born. Her favorite Hawaiian pastimes include hula dancing with her Auntie Mal; eating Uncle Edgar’s poi; choreographing dances with her sister Giuliana and cousin Sienna; shopping at Morning Glory (like nothing she’d seen back home); and splashing around the shoreline at the Outrigger Canoe Club for hours. Back on the mainland, GianPaula balanced studies with her passions of art, music, and animals. Now, she works in renewable energy and dreams of one day having a home with a grand piano, a dedicated paint studio, and many animals.
Our Love Story
It all started at The Brass Monkey in 2015. It was a humid NYC evening during an electric internship summer, and Dylan and GianPaula were each invited by their mutual friend, Dan Eder, to meet him at this unassuming bar in the Meatpacking District. Naturally, they struck up a conversation and immediately clicked. Impressed by Dylan’s networking prowess, which had landed him a job in NYC, GianPaula Facebook messaged him a few weeks later (mistakenly calling him “Michael”), and the rest was history!

Their first date
Their first date, held at a Mexican restaurant in Flatiron, became a memory they fondly reflected on during their last year of college.

The legendary Greece trip
Dylan still denies planning the trip solely to court GianPaula, but it worked!
October 2017
It's official!
At an unsavory Halloween rave, Dylan gallantly kept GianPaula company while she waited in a long line for the ladies’ room. It was there, amidst the chaos, that Dylan asked GianPaula to be his girlfriend, marking the real beginning of their love story.
March 2020
Moving in
The pandemic gave GianPaula the perfect excuse to pack up all her things, including her precious cat (also named Dylan), leave NYC, and move into Dylan’s one-bedroom apartment in Los Angeles, where he’d recently moved for a new job. Sharing an address marked a new and exciting chapter in their lives together.

Welcome Topher!
During one of Dylan’s business trips, GianPaula took advantage of his absence and jumped at the opportunity to “foster” a dog. Knowing Dylan’s heart of gold, she was sure he could never give up a four-legged fur baby once in their care! They then became a family of three.
September 2023
The proposal
Dylan proposed to GianPaula after surprising her with an unforgettable visit to her father's old club, The Outrigger Canoe Club in Waikiki, and reuniting her with family from across the country.
